High & Intensive Care (HIC)<\/h2>\n

Op deze site vindt u alle informatie over het HIC-model. HIC staat voor High en Intensive Care en is een model voor kortdurende klinische opname in de geestelijke gezondheidszorg. Een gedachtegoed dat door diverse GGZ organisaties gezamenlijk ontwikkeld is.<\/p>\n

HIC in het kort<\/h2>\n

High en Intensive Care, ofwel HIC, is een model voor de zorg op acu\u00adte op\u00adna\u00adme\u00ad afdelingen voor cli\u00ebnten die een ernstige psychiatrische crisis doormaken en voor wie een gesloten opnamesetting nodig is. HIC is een antwoord op de behoefte in de samenleving om mensen die in ernstige psychiatrische nood verkeren goed en menswaardig op te vangen en te behandelen, in een omgeving waar veiligheid en bescherming gecombineerd wordt met respectvolle zorg en behandeling. Hiermee gaat het HIC model in op de behoefte aan kwaliteitsverbetering waarbij een helder kader voor klinische zorg wordt geboden.
Centraal staat het terugdringen van verplichte zorg (dwang), met de aandacht gericht op het herwinnen van de eigen regie van de cli\u00ebnt.
Aangezien het HIC-model de highcarefunctie (HC) en de intensivecarefunctie (IC) combineert, is er gekozen voor de naam high en intensive care.<\/p>\n
